$ $41.66 per hour

About the Role:
Reporting to the Director of Clinical Services, the Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) is responsible for quality outcomes for the persons we support and quality assurance measures to provide efficient and effective provision of supports and services for persons diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder and their families.
Through actions, supports the Mission, Vision, Values and Strategic Plan of Kerry's Place.
Reviews and adheres to all Policies and Procedures, including: Finance & Administration; Services & Supports; Human Resources; Health & Safety, and all other.
Adheres to employee responsibilities for Health & Safety as defined by the Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA) and applicable regulations.

Completes screening, assessment, and individualized intervention related to child, youth, and/or family's individualized goal(s)
Administers standardized diagnostic tests / informal assessment measures
Documents and shares assessment information with client, family, and service team
Provides direct support to children, youth, and families, including coaching and teaching to parents/caregivers, in both individual and/or group formats
Provides support both in-person and online including in community, home, and school settings
Consults with family members, caregivers, and internal clinical service team, including modeling strategies, as relevant
Communicates with and refers to other professionals, as relevant, with required consent
Participates at school meetings, case conferences, and other meetings related to the area(s) of support being provided
Supports development and provision of external training, as well as internal training and professional development of teams
Provides statistical and data management information, as required
Attends personal professional development training, as relevant
Attends operational and team meetings, as relevant
Quality Assurance
Ensures the health and safety of supported persons in accordance to Ontario Regulation 299/10 Quality Assurance Measures, the Child, Youth and Family Services Act, and the Provincial and Municipal regulations and by-laws.
Supports the Community Services team to ensure professional and thorough records are maintained and up to date for all persons being served.
Position Requirements:
Education
Master's in Speech-Language Pathology
Member in good standing with the College of Audiologists and Speech-Language Pathologists of Ontario
Knowledge and Experience
2+ years of experience in human services.
Strong knowledge of the Developmental Services sector.
Knowledge of Autism Spectrum Disorder and evidence-based treatment models and approaches.
Competency and effective use of database systems.
Working knowledge of related legislation and regulations such as: Employment Standards Act, Occupational Health and Safety Act, Services and Supports to Promote the Social Inclusion of Persons with Developmental Disabilities Act, etc.
French language, and/or other written/spoken languages, is an asset.Working Conditions/Physical Requirements
Must have the ability to complete the Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) certification, First Aid/CPR as well as perform the required physical techniques.
Training will be provided.Position requires flexible hours including evenings, weekends and holidays.
Willingness to travel using personal vehicle. Must have valid driver's license with a minimum G2.
