We specialize in pre-fabrication, modular systems and installation of large-scale residential, commercial, institutional, educational, and medical design-build plumbing and mechanical projects.
Our company is growing We are looking for a highly motivated and team player professional to join our Accounting team as a
Payroll Administrator.
This is a long-term, full-time employment opportunity based out of our Maple Ridge Head Office and reporting to the Director of Finance and Accounting.
Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Organize and enter all payroll information for the construction group of companies on a weekly basis
- Process biweekly payroll for all employees in the group of companies
- Process new hires, employee changes, wage changes, terminations, and manual payments
- Maintain the benefit plan enrollment and termination, as well as reconcile monthly benefit invoices and balance statements.
- Ensure compliance with federal and provincial regulations and maintain payroll accounts (i.e. Workers compensation, EHT, etc.) for all provinces.
- Implement operating procedures for all payroll, benefit and group insurance processes with direction from Human Resources.
- Prepare and produce payroll journal entries as well as monthly, quarterly and annual reports.
- Perform periodic reviews of processes & procedures to ensure strong & efficient routines.
- Respond to employee, manager and thirdparty Payroll & Benefit inquiries
- Prepare garnishment remittances
- Process employee expenses
- Assist with monthend, quarterend and yearend activities
- Assist with other bookkeeping functions, as required
- Filing documents, as required
- Perform other duties, as required
Job Requirements:
- PCP certification or working towards it
- A minimum of 3 years of progressive payroll experience in a rapidly changing and demanding environment
- Formal education in accounting/bookkeeping/payroll is preferred
- Ability to maintain good working relationships with personnel of other departments.
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely in writing and orally.
- Ability to work under pressure while maintaining a "can do" attitude and confidentiality
Compensation:
$26.44/h to $30.00/h + 5% RRSP + 100% Company-Paid Health & Dental Benefits + Life Insurance.
