Who we're looking for

Responsibilities

  • Ensure that all projects are executed to plan through managing the internal team, agency resources and workflow process
  • Fully understand the clients' business and maintain current industry knowledge
  • Develop a positive and partnering relationship with all clients and their agencies
  • Take an active role building the clients' business, generating new strategies and anticipating advertising needs
  • Ensure that the team produces all client work with the highest level of quality, ensuring that creative is on strategy
  • Challenge the status quo for the best results for the client and the agency
  • Provide POVs as they relate the clients' business
  • Review all briefs and provide constructive feedback to the team as necessary
  • Keep the Account Director informed of account activities
  • Resolve internal challenges as they are identified and utilize the support of the leadership team as needed
  • Own and monitor the competitive intelligence process
  • Assist with managing fiscal budgets and internal budgets
  • Provide input into staffing plans, budgets and promotions
  • Take an active role in building a positive agency culture
  • Take an active role in developing all direct reports, providing mentorship and a positive work environment
  • Assist in conducting performance reviews

Requirements:


  • Minimum 5 years of experience in an agency environment
  • Solid understanding of agency and creative processes (especially mass media)
  • Previous experience in retail is an asset
  • Track record of building strong client relationships
  • Solid presentation skills
  • Ability to motivate, lead team members and delegate tasks
  • Proactive
  • Results and quality driven
  • Demonstrated fiscal management skills
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills
  • Proven ability to multitask and set priorities in a fast paced environment
  • Agency experience in CRM and digital marketing

Nice to have

  • Experience working with multiple agency partners
  • Postsecondary education (marketing/advertising)
  • Social media community management
