Our
Toronto office is looking for a Project Manager to join the Innovation & Change team.

Reporting to the Manager, Project Management Office (PMO), you will own the following responsibilities:


  • Reporting to the Senior Manager, I&C Project Management Office (PMO), the Project Manager is primarily responsible for liaising with business units, firm internal functions and Business Partners in the delivery, quality management, and successful execution of assigned business and/or technology projects
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with key business partners and other stakeholders, both internally and externally, ensuring business and technical objectives are met
  • As Project Manager, under some direction, plan, direct and coordinate activities of medium to high level of complexity projects to ensure that they meet the approved timeframe, scope, quality and budget expectations

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:


  • Adhere to BDO project management standards while managing budgets, risk, project communications (i.e., status reports, issues tracking log, project plans, communication plans, presentations to steering committees, management of documents, etc.) to ensure cost effective, timely and effective delivery of projects
  • Work with project sponsor to effectively transition projects from an idea through to development and implementation, ensuring that all project objectives and goals are clearly understood and met
  • Engage Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and project stakeholders in a timely and efficient manner, managing their involvement and expectations
  • Assess the priority and scope of issues by understanding business objectives, technical costs and user needs, as well as being able to weigh alternatives for resolution
  • Establish, develop and maintain effective communications and relationships with key business partners and sponsors, both internally and externally
  • Understand all phases of the software development life cycle and various techniques to lead, create and motivate a high value project team consisted of various business and IT stakeholders
  • Work with appropriate business, IT stakeholders, vendors, consulting teams and change management departments in finalizing project deliverables and milestones, and lead and manage the team towards achieving those milestones

Your experience and education:


  • University Degree or College Diploma in Software Engineering, Computer Science or Business Administration or equivalent work experience with Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred
  • 5+ years of direct work experience in a Project Management role with emphasis on working with Business stakeholders, IT, (infrastructure, Cloud Computing, Server Administration, Networking, Telephony), architecture, web development, IT Security, cloud technologies), Product Owners, Change Management, other key stakeholders as required
  • 3+ years of direct work experience in a Project Management capacity managing medium to large projects with an emphasis on Business and IT initiatives
  • Knowledge and experience working with telecommunication companies, construction engineers, facility teams, site supervisors, engineering companies
  • Working knowledge and experience with Portfolio, Program and Project Management Lifecycles(PMLC), System Development Lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies (Waterfall, Agile, Iterative), Project Management and Business Analysis best practices and Business Analysis tools, activities and methodologies
  • Working knowledge and exp
