About the Role

We're looking for a Business Transformation Manager to join our Strategic Planning & Transformation team.

The Business Transformation Manager will have a proven track record in identifying, analyzing, and facilitating capability modeling and business case development.

As Business Transformation Manager, you will identify gaps in processes and data and work through uncertainty to solve problems.

You will also develop solutions and provide recommendations that address the needs of the business and drives growth to meet strategic priorities.


The Business Transformation Manager will work in the ambiguous environments, while being able to see the bigger picture and identify dependencies across initiatives at any given time.

About Your Day

  • Conduct analysis of existing documentation
  • Document current processes through participation in and/or facilitate brainstorming sessions or workshops with stakeholders
  • Ideate and facilitate discussion to document the conceptual target state processes to address gaps and pain points identified in the current state
  • Perform research and conduct data gathering exercises to support options and recommendations
  • Collaborate cross functionally to develop options and recommendations to meet a business objective
  • Gather requirements and document detailed business requirements, use cases and user stories
  • Elicit, document, validate and prioritize functional and nonfunctional system requirements in collaboration with business clients, end users and project stakeholders
  • Collaborate with stakeholders cross functionally to develop a case for change taking into consideration people, process and technology
  • Develop highlevel rough order of magnitude cost estimates for project execution
  • Ability to assess various options across a defined set of criteria
  • Monitor the business case and seek ways for value creation / optimization
  • Conduct presentations regarding assessment findings/recommendations, project status and current issues
  • Ensure project delivered on time, on budget and within quality targets
  • Support implementation team through execution phase to address gaps in requirements while maintaining a customer focus
  • Ability to mentor and train junior analysts through methodology and approach
  • Creates a safe place for junior analysts to learn and grow
  • Motivates and inspires others to achieve results
  • Regards and recognizes great performance
About You

  • Postsecondary education in Business Administration, Commerce, Engineering, or related field
  • 58+ years' experience in a similar role
  • Proficient (or strong knowledge) of the Business Analysis and Business Architecture Frameworks, Change Management Principles, and Project Management
  • Experience in writing use cases and business requirements documents
  • Experience developing processes flows using BPMN 2.0 Standards
  • Experience in consulting and business transformation is preferred
  • Certified Business Analysis Professional (CPAB) is an asset
  • Customer focused and collaborative
  • Strong facilitation skills and writing skills
  • Ability to multitask and work on multiple projects simultaneously in a fastpaced environment
  • Ability to work through ambiguity and independently
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of MS Office, Jira, and Confluence is preferred
  • Experience working in an Agile environment is preferred
About the Job

  • This position currently offers a hybrid work schedule. The current in office requirement is a minimum of 3 days/week (may be more depending on business needs). The OCS office is located near York Mills and Yonge Street. However, OCS reserves the right to change this policy and its office location at any time.
