Universal Collision Centre has a permanent full-time position open for an Estimator

As a Collision Estimator at UCC, you will play a crucial role in the repair process by accurately assessing the extent of damage to vehicles and providing detailed repair estimates.

Job Responsibilities:

Inspect automobile body damage to identify the exact extent of all damage
Develop and supply insurance company with all estimates based on evaluation by accurately costing parts, supplies, and labour
Review estimates with insurance adjuster to gain repair and replacement approval
Document approved repair and replacement services required by creating work orders in the work management software
Work closely with repair technicians to discuss repair plans, clarify any technical aspects, and ensure accurate estimates
Obtain all appropriate approval signatures from insurance companies and customers before work begins
Maintain body shop records by recording all repair and replacement actions in the work management software
Stay updated on industry standards, repair techniques, and advancements in automotive technology to make informed assessments

Requirements:

Minimum 2 years experience in a Body Shop environment
Unrestricted driver license and ability to drive automatic and manual transmissions
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
Ability to prioritize and maintain professionalism during highvolume periods
Selfdriven to work independently and the ability to work effectively and collaborate with a team
Advanced decisionmaking and problemsolving abilities

Working knowledge of body shop software such as Mitchell is an asset but not mandatory
