Levitt-Safety has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Instrumentation Technician to join our Service Team in Oakville, ON.Job Summary
We are looking for an Instrumentation Service Technician to handle the repair and calibration of gas monitoring equipment, as well as other relevant sampling and instrumentation devices such as OCC health instruments.
This role's main objective is to ensure that our customers receive high-quality service, with fast and efficient turnaround times for equipment repairs, service, and calibration.
You will be responsible for disassembling, reassembling, and testing instruments according to the manufacturer's guidelines and Levitt-Safety's specifications.Responsibilities:
- Repair and calibrate portable and fixed gas detection and OCC health instruments.
- Provide warranty repair and service as needed.
- Receive customer equipment, ensure proper functionality according to manufacturer specifications, and perform timely calibration and repairs.
- Log data and enter equipment records into the computer system.
- Maintain detailed documentation, including serial numbers and other relevant information.
- Manage inventory, rotate stock, and ensure sufficient parts availability to meet turnaround goals.
- Participate in mandatory safety training and obtain industry certifications.
- Contribute actively to the development of Job Hazard Analyses and adhere to Safe Work Practices.
- Collaborate with service coordinators to obtain estimate approvals from customers.
- Perform onsite work at customer sites and occasional outoftown travel, as required.
- Perform other assigned duties as needed.
Qualifications:
- Completion of an electronics program or equivalent training and courses, with 35 years of experience in Instrumentation and Occupational Health Equipment.
- 2 years of previous field experience servicing gas monitors and occupational health equipment on site.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Attention to detail and proficiency with computers, including iPads, phones, and online reports.
