Description

Reporting to the Community Housing Supervisor, the Community Housing Caseworker will work within an integrated team of Community Services professionals. The primary focus of the Community Housing Caseworker is to provide life stabilization and housing retention supports for Renfrew County Housing Corporation Tenants and Applicants.

This is a contract opportunity offering Full-time hours up to December 31, 2023 (possible extension).

Qualifications:

Twoyear postsecondary education in a social services or related human services field, or combination of social services experience and education.
Knowledge and experience with housing laws and available resources.
Experience with financial administration and data report preparation.
Excellent ability to adapt to changing priorities and in adjusting work plans accordingly.
Excellent organizational skills and an ability to selfmotivate.
Strong interpersonal abilities combined with written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to identify key issues in problem solving and implement effective and creative solutions.
Proficiency in the use of computers, including MS Office: Word, Excel, Outlook, creating reports, and online research.
Must demonstrate corporate, department and position competencies (Honesty & Integrity, Professionalism, Client Service Orientation, Focus on Results, Communication).
Valid driver license and access to a vehicle is mandatory.
Must obtain and maintain a satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Check.
