In your job as Supply Chain Coordinator, you are responsible for managing the supply chain, production planning and forecasting, maintaining positive relationships with suppliers, and coordinating with internal teams regarding their supply needs.
We are looking for someone who is in the Waterloo region and able to work in-office due to the nature of work performed.
Responsibilities:
- Supply Chain Management and forecasting production planning
- Managing daily purchasing activities to ensure procurement of production materials
- Managing the BOM and ensuring design updates are reflected in what's being purchased (ECNs)
- Dealing with and maintaining relationships with suppliers and vendors
- Keeping track of and managing payments to vendors
- Tracking and receiving orders, managing material inventory
- Managing purchasing budgets and reporting on cost savings opportunities
- Developing and improving purchasing strategies
- Ensuring that all procured items meet the required quality standards and specifications
- Maintaining the supplier database, purchase order records and related documentation
Required Skills/Experience:
- Highly attentive to detail
- Postsecondary education in business or purchasing management, supply chain management, or business development
- Superior communication skills, written and verbal
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Independent problem solving and critical thinking skills
- Proven organizational and planning skills
- Ability to quickly adapt to changing priorities
- Experience with Excel and Google Suite, especially Google Sheets
- Problem solving supply chain issues
- ECN reasoning/troubleshooting
- Knowledge of inventory and supply chain management
- 13 years experience in a supervisory or leadership role
- Engineering management as an asset
- Gant chart software
- Float, Unleashed
Nice to Haves:
- Understanding of engineering drawings
- Experience working at a startup or small company
- Experience in a manufacturing environment
