Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Biorefinery Deputy Project Control Manager / Project Control Manager the Cost Controller Lead is accountable for:

  • Prepare the cost and commitment reports each month.
  • Analyze and identify gaps between the approved CAPEX and the actual cost.
  • Work with Engineering and Procurement to document and obtain approval for changes and cost variations by issuing Engineering Change Notices (ECNs).
  • Ensure proper budget control through budget transfers and integration of approved changes.
  • Manage the contingency (allowance and undefined) funds.
  • Prepare the incurred cost flow and cash call.
  • Assist management in other requests relating to cost control, funding, and reporting.

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree (or higher) in a relevant programme (engineering or businessrelated).
  • 10+ years' experience in planning, project control and cost control on major projects.
  • Construction site experience an asset.
  • Experience in project cost control on large EPCM projects
  • Ability to work on jointventures and to deal with multiple stakeholders
  • Industrial/Oil and gas construction experience
  • Ability to analyze large sets of data
  • Team leadership experience in project control on heavy industry projects an asset.
  • Fluent in written and spoken French and English (strong bilingualism essential).
  • Experience in preparing detailed reports and management reports.
  • Excel, Word, Power Point software (Microsoft Project, Primavera (P6) an asset)
