Chemical Compounder / Batch Maker

Aurora Marine Industries Inc. is a well-established manufacturing company that invents, manufacturers and markets specialty products for pleasure boats, automobiles, off road vehicles, theme parks, etc. We specialize in manufacturing Environment Friendly, Advanced Technology, cleaners, polishes, restorers, and protective coatings for protecting luxury boats, cars and recreational products, around the world.

Our modern facilities are located in the Mississauga/Brampton area, convenient to major highways and bus routes.

We're looking to hire an experienced Chemical Compounder / Batch Maker, ASAP, to assist us with our batch manufacturing. This is a full time but we would also consider 4 days per week for the right person. Training is available.

The Chemical Compounder will be responsible for the manufacturing process, by safely and efficiently executing our compounding schedule.

He or She will accurately measure, blend, mix and prepare batches according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).

Your Responsibilities include:

• Cleaning tanks and setting up equipment for all batches
• Confirming compounds and accurately weighing, blending and preparing batches according to SOPs and GMPs
• Executing batch sheets accurately according to provided SOP. This includes documenting any changes and QC results
• Assembling, operating and conducting minor repairs of equipment
• Performing general housekeeping of compounding area.
• Packaging products into finished product containers and labeling when required
• Performing other duties as assigned

Your Skills include:

• Ability to follow detailed instructions
• Basic understanding of chemistry: minimum High School level
• Strict adherence to quality and safety processes and procedures
• Good verbal and written communication skills in English
• Mechanical aptitude
• Well organized with the ability to prioritize tasks
• Accuracy in weighing both liquids & powder
• Willingness to work overtime
• Problem solving and decisionmaking abilities
• Ability to multitask and adapt to rapidly changing environments
• Work well under pressure to complete tasks on time.

Qualifications:

• Batch making experience preferred but not necessary. Experience can be from food manufacturing, chemical compounding or pharmaceutical compounding.
• Good work attendance mandatory
• WHIMS, SDS and TDG knowledge helpful.
