    OVERVIEW

    Ridley College has an opportunity for a casual Educational Assistant in our Lower School commencing immediately.

    This role will assist the Teachers in supporting the emotional wellbeing of students in the classroom, implementing classroom routines and curriculum, and the tracking and supporting of student behaviour.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    ·Educational Support Diploma or related field of study or work experience

    ·A minimum of one (1) year demonstrated successful experience supporting individuals with special needs is preferred

    ·Experience working with young children/students with learning and/or behavioural exceptionalities

    ·and who are exhibiting severe behavioural/emotional difficulties

    ·Strong teamwork with a high degree of sensitivity and diplomacy when engaging with our faculty team and students

    ·Strong ability to adapt to changing situations and coping with stressful situations

    ·Excellent interpersonal skills, exemplary communication skills, problem-solving, negotiation, and mediation skills
