School Business Manager
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced School Business Manager to join our leadership team.

The School Business Manager will play a crucial and multi-faceted role in overseeing the financial, operational, and administrative functions of our school, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations and sustainable growth.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Manage the school's financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting
  • Oversee human resources functions, including recruitment, onboarding, payroll administration, and employee benefits
  • Coordinate facilities management, ensuring the safety, maintenance, and improvement of school facilities and grounds
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to optimize operational efficiency and compliance with relevant regulations
  • Collaborate with school leadership and stakeholders to support school operations and decisionmaking
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation related to finances, staffing, and operations
  • Execute special projects including creating presentations, financial spreadsheets, reports, and agenda materials.
  • Act as a point of contact among the Board of Trustees and Directors, employees, parents, and external partners, maintaining effective communication channels.
  • Assist the leadership team in managing school activities, including coordinating special events, fundraisers, transportation, and building maintenance.
  • Oversee the school's social media presence, ensuring content is engaging, accurate, and aligned with the school's objectives.
  • Coordinate School Board meetings, including scheduling, preparing agendas, and recording minutes.
  • Act as a brand ambassador for the school and oversee marketing efforts to promote the school's mission and values.
  • Serve as a liaison with external vendors, contractors, and regulatory agencies as needed

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related field
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in a related role, ideally within an educational or nonprofit context, with demonstrated supervisory responsibilities
  • Strong financial management skills, including budgeting, financial analysis, and fiscal planning.
  • Proficiency in HR management practices, including employment law, payroll processing, and benefits administration.
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to adapt to diverse responsibilities and handle all levels of communication.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize workload, and meet deadlines in a fastpaced environment.
  • Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and best practices in school administration and nonprofit governance.
  • Ability to speak Punjabi would be an asset
