    We are searching for a highly skilled and driven individual to join our team as a Lead Engineer in Data Operations. As a Lead Engineer, you will play a key role in developing state-of-the-art data pipelines and solutions that enhance our products.

    The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership abilities, exceptional technical skills, and a keen interest in using data to tackle intricate challenges. You will collaborate closely with various teams, including data engineering, data science, and business intelligence, to ensure data quality, availability, and integrity. This role also presents the chance to contribute to shaping the future of the data tech stack at Zonda.

    • Lead and guide a team of developers to drive project success and professional development
    • Design, build, and manage scalable and efficient modern data pipelines
    • Work with cross-functional teams to comprehend business needs and translate them into technical solutions
    • Promote innovation and ongoing enhancement within the data team by keeping up with new technologies and industry best practices
    • Quickly familiarize yourself with the business landscape to act as a subject matter expert, offering insights on data architecture, design patterns, and best practices
    • Address data quality issues, determine root causes, and implement corrective measures
    • Collaborate with stakeholders to grasp data requirements and guarantee the availability of top-notch data for analysis and reporting
    • Create and maintain documentation on data operations processes, workflows, and system configurations

    Requirements:
    Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or related field. Minimum of 5 years' experience in software development, focusing on cloud-based data pipeline construction, with at least 2 years in a leadership position

    • Thorough understanding of data management, data quality, data modeling, and data governance
    • Experience with SQL Server or PostgreSQL
    • Proficiency in Data Pipeline, Data Warehouse/Lake using Snowflake/DataBricks, and Apache Airflow
    • Skilled in programming languages like Python and NodeJs
    • Strong communication skills, able to explain technical concepts to non-technical audience effectively
    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, capable of spotting data trends and patterns
    • Proven track record as a subject matter expert, delivering high-quality solutions on time and within budget
    • Knowledge of CICD systems, GitHub, Agile methodologies, and performance optimization

    Additional experience with:
    SQL Server Integration Services
    SQL Server Reporting Services
