The Opportunity:
The purpose of the Aerial / Cable Pulling Crew Foreman is to lead the coordination and installation of overhead and underground fibre optic cables.
What You Will be Doing:
Keep management current on the status of any issue(s) that may have an impact on the work being performed.
Conduct and participate in field level safety meetings, tool box talks, and health and safety informational awareness.
Ensuring strict servicing and maintenance times to minimize downtime and maintain schedules.
Ensure equipment appearance is maintained to Burton standards
Ability to perform other routine maintenance work as required
Other duties as required.
This is a traveling position, working in Alberta and Saskatchewan. Accommodations are provided by employer.
Qualifications:
1+ years experience working in telecommunications industry
1+ years experience aerial construction work. Lashing, bucket trucks etc
What You Need to Succeed:
Valid Drivers' License with clean driver's abstract.
No criminal history involving violence, fraud or theft
Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving abilities
Willing to travel, work extended hours in all weather conditions.
Self-directed and self-motivated, demonstrating a high level of professionalism, ethics, confidence and a commitment to a team approach. Ability to work with mínimal supervision.
Ability to work efficiently and independently with strong attention to detail.
Excellent interpersonal, communication (verbal and written), and organizational skills.
Must be able to lift 50lbs
Nice to have:
Class 1A or air brake endorsement
Experience in a telecom or utilities environment
Experience running construction or earthworks equipment
Additional safety training certifications. ie) ground disturbance, confined space, etc
Ability to perform minor mechanical maintenance
