How you'll succeed

  • As an Associate the incumbent will work closely with the Research Analyst (Senior Market Technician) covering Technical and Data-Series Analysis, which involves charting and reporting on Indices, GICS Sectors, and individual stocks. The Associate will learn and develop indepth knowledge for technical and quantitative analysis for different assetclasses (Equities, Bonds, Commodities and Currency markets) and their relationships. In this role, you will gain valuable experience in writing technical reports, developing and maintaining technical models and databases, researching technical, quantitative, and sentiment factors that impact stockselection and market conditions. The incumbent will work closely with the Research Technical Analyst (Market-Technician) on research projects, adhoc timely reports, along with multiple backtested portfolio
- and investment-strategies.

Who You Are Work Experience:
Previous Capital markets experience is our strong preference. Strong background in mathematics/statistics and finance, with a concentrated focus in timeseries and data analyticsStrong knowledge of SQL, VBA, Python, and R Experience with Bloomberg functionalities would be required Solid interpersonal skills to deal effectively with internal and external clients Strong multi-tasking and time management skills A self-starter with an ability to work independently and problem solving in a deadline-oriented environment Demonstrated interest in capital markets industry through school courses, clubs and/or related work experience- What CIBC offers
