DATA GOVERNANCE ANALYST - Remote**Who is a Data Governance Analyst?

The Data Governance Analyst plays a key role in communicating the importance of information and of the data and analytics governance efforts throughout the organization.

As a part of the Data Services Team, this role is responsible for designing and implementing end-to-end data governance solutions.

The position also focuses on governance policies development and implementation, and will support the data owners, data stewards, and GoodLife associates by fostering a culture of collaboration in support of achieving common objectives.

The Data Governance Analyst is a critical part of the team, bringing excellent communication skills, tact, flexibility, ability to work under pressure, and is comfortable adapting to quick changing priorities.

This role partners closely with all levels of the organization to achieve business objectives through data governance best practices.

What will you be doing?

Works with relevant Data Owners, Legal and Security stakeholders to build and implement Data Governance policies (i.e., Data Retention, Data Classification, etc.)
Conducts relevant customer interviews to determine key business requirements and objectives
Assists in the development and implementation of data standards, ensuring the capture of highquality metadata and creating methods for monitoring/reporting any data incidents
Catalogs and manages technical assets such as data dictionaries, data glossaries, data schemas, technical systems, data transformation processes
Develops control structures to ensure the accuracy and quality of data through all upstream and downstream data channels
Profiles and analyzes data systems
Administers data governance platforms
Understands how data flows internally, collaborates with data owners to support data governance
Works with the Data Owners to ensure they understand their roles and responsibilities, providing advisory guidance and support to ensure Data Governance accountabilities are understood
Stays current on present and upcoming privacy regulations

Do you have what it takes?

College Degree or Diploma (Information Technology, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related degree)
3+ years of experience related to the delivery of information technology solutions
2+ years demonstrated experience with the management of data at the enterprise level
Ability to learn new technologies & business processes/concepts
Basic understanding of database structures and data models
Familiarity with privacy laws and regulations as well as ethics and quality requirements surrounding the use of data
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Strong demonstrated organizational, leadership and interpersonal skills
Strong analytical and problemsolving skills
Ability to multitask in a fastpaced, dynamic environment
