Position Summary:


The Human Resources Generalist works across our divisional businesses and supports the delivery of core HR processes & services in an effort to improve the overall employee experience.

The Human Resources Generalist is part of a team responsible for recruitment, training and development, employee onboarding, employee engagement, employee relations, performance development processes, compensation and benefits across all Carlson businesses.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Drive the fullcycle recruitment process for all positions across the group of companies including job posting, sourcing, screening, interviewing, reference checking, and offer negotiating
  • Support the development and implementation of common HR programs and services across the business
  • Drive HR efficiencies and effectiveness in alignment with business objectives
  • Serve as the primary point of contact with employees on HR matters within the scope of the role
  • Partner with the HR team to determine and implement best practices for employee experience

Skills & Experience:


  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration or related field
  • At least 3 years of experience as an HR generalist
  • Experience managing the full recruitment cycle is required
  • Ability to manage fastchanging business priorities, thrive in a constantly changing business environment and handle multiple (and sometimes conflicting) deadlines
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, organization, and negotiation skills
  • Skilled communicator with the ability to engage stakeholders at all organizational levels
  • High integrity and a real sense of ownership and accountability of responsibilities and projects
  • Enrolment in or a desire to pursue a CPHR designation required
  • Possession of a valid BC Driver's License and access to a vehicle is required
