We're looking for you to join our team as a Strategic Initiatives Manager in Toronto, ON


As the Manager, you'll contribute to the success of your teams by ensuring specific individual goals, plans, and initiatives are delivered in support of the Bank's business strategies and objectives.

You'll support business governance activities including coordinating and managing key strategic processes including annual planning, understanding the health/needs of the business, and building a narrative to communicate to CB leadership.

You will also have the opportunity to lead strategies in collaboration with our other teams, including IT, Marketing, Sales, etc.

to implement recommendations that strengthen insurance product features and processes, and collaborate with analytics functions to track, manage, and report on progress and results.

  • Support key growth and/or operations initiatives to drive revenue/efficiencies for the business
  • Understand how the Bank's risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in daytoday activities and decisions
  • Actively pursues effective and efficient operations of your respective areas in accordance with Scotiabank's Values, its Code of Conduct and the Global Sales Principles, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of daytoday business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions and conduct risk

REQUIREMENTS:


  • Self-Identify as First Nations, Metis, or Inuit
  • Strong oral/written communication skills
  • Postsecondary degree, diploma, or certification in a related field
  • Familiar using MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Exceptional project management skills
  • Able to influence and guide your team
  • Strong ability to build authentic business relationships with your team, clients, and business leaders
