Position Summary:


Tacten is seeking professional, energetic and forward-thinking
JP Insulator with IRATA certification to support operations on our newest site located in Kitimat BC.

LNG Canada is nearing completion of the first LNG export facility in Canada and Tacten has been awarded the maintenance contract for this site scheduled to start mid 202- Position is based in Kitimat BC.


  • Approx. start date June 202
  • Position will be 40 hrs/week and possible overtime
  • Salary will be $49.00 depending on certifications

Responsibilities:


This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the project's startup's success by implementing innovative work techniques, fostering a collaborative environment, and driving advancements in our operations.


  • Install insulation materials, such as foam, fiberglass, or mineral wool, to prevent heat transfer, reduce energy consumption, or control sound.
  • Measure and cut insulation materials to fit specific areas.
  • Secure insulation in place using appropriate fasteners and adhesives.
  • Regularly inspect insulation for signs of wear, damage, or degradation.
  • Replace or repair insulation that has become compromised.
  • Recommend and implement improvements or upgrades to enhance insulation performance.
  • Consult with clients or project managers to determine insulation needs based on factors like temperature requirements, acoustic considerations, or electrical insulation needs.
  • Provide recommendations on the most suitable insulation materials and techniques for different environments.
  • Collaborate with construction or maintenance teams to ensure proper installation according to specifications.

Requirements:


  • JM Insulator (if Non-Ticketed a summary of hours must be provided)
  • IRATA Level 1 (min 500 rope hours) or 2 Rope Access certification with a minimum of 500 hours
  • Cryogenic insulation experence would be an asset
  • V deck installation experience, coating and blasting would be an asset

  • Valid drivers license
  • Current safety certifications as required by client and provincial BC standards
