Description
Bridgeway Support Services, a division of Bridgeway Family Homes, is seeking highly skilled Child and Youth Workers to support families, children and youth who are experiencing a range of social, emotional, behavioural, and academic challenges through a goal-focused service.
You will be part of a team and your role will be providing services in the client's home and in the community.
We are looking for individuals to provide services between hours per week with a typical part-time schedule that includes providing services during the week between 3:00pm - 9:00pm and some weekend sessions.
Responsibilities:
- Development of goalfocused activities
- Implementation of programs
- Behaviour management
- Case notes
Qualifications:
- Certificate, diploma or degree (i.e. Child and Youth Care) from a recognized college or university
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent organizational, administrative, and reportwriting skills
- Knowledge of FASD, ODD, autism, ADHD, anxiety disorders and other diagnoses is beneficial
- Current Crisis Intervention Certification (i.e. UMAB) with experience in crisis deescalation
Requirements:
- Current Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Check
- Child Welfare Record Check (from local Children's Aid Society)
- Driver's Abstract, Class "G" Driver's License, and insured vehicle with $2 million liability on the vehicle
