Position Description
Reporting to the Farm Supervisor, Farm Associates are instrumental in the growth, harvest, and handling of each crop. They will be working in a fast paced environment.


Responsibilities

  • Plant bulbs and seeds
  • Plant, cultivate and irrigate crops
  • Transplant seedlings or rooted cuttings
  • Spray or dust plants with insecticides and fungicides
  • Report signs of insect or disease damage
  • Clean work area
  • Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment
  • Harvest crops
  • Visually inspect and handle fresh vegetable/fruit; grade by identifying different ripening stages, sizes and classification and package according to Company specification
  • Communicate frequently with team lead; report quality issues, damage, shortages of product or packaging
  • Comply with SOPs, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), Food Safety, d Safety, and company policies and procedures; ensure standards consistently meet expectations.

Requirements:


  • Being comfortable with heights
  • Able to operate in various temperature conditions
  • Perform routine tasks that may involve handling heavy loads that are physically demanding
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Handeye coordination
  • Comfortable with standing for extended periods of time, walking, bending, kneeling, and crouching
