Volunteer Opportunity

Prayer Coordinator

Responsibilities:

Hear the needs of the students and leadership team and lay them at God's feet.
Pray over the space that we use, either during the program or outside of program hours.
Pray for our leaders as they communicate with students about the struggles they are facing.
Hold prayer requests and various youth and program needs in strict confidence. Ideally (but not required), the prayer coordinator would be present for at least 1 dropin per week serving in another role, in order to see and hear the needs firsthand.

Time Commitment:

Dropins run from 3:306 pm every day after school across the city. We would love you to be at as many as you are comfortable with. Our preference would be at least one day a week, but this is negotiable.
Committed to praying regularly and frequently for the dropin, the staff, and the students.
1 hour, 3x per year for support/checkins with the team lead.
2 hours, 2x per year for training/appreciation.

As a relationally-focused program,
you and your presence matter. Youth are looking for role models and stable, consistent adults to support them. So, if you want to take on a volunteer role with us, commitment is important. Relationships are built on stability.
