SUMMARY:


The Royal Canadian Yacht Club is a world class yacht club with a mandate to promote excellence in competitive sailing and sports.

Located in a unique atmosphere on the Toronto Islands; the Club consists of an active, welcoming community of sailors, like-minded individuals and staff who share an interest in sport and tradition.

RCYC is currently ranked as one of the top 50 Yacht Clubs in the world and we firmly believe that much of our continued success is determined by our staff.

The RCYC operates year-round from two facilities: our summer home at the Island Clubhouse and our City Clubhouse in downtown Toronto at St George and Bloor.

With over 4700 Members we have extensive services in Food and Beverage along with Fitness, Sports and Sailing facilities.


WHAT WE OFFER:


  • Hourly wage range between $19 to $20.00
  • Daily staff meals

RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Housekeeping Attendant is responsible for maintaining a clean, sanitary, and tidy environment throughout the Clubs facilities.

This individual must adhere to all Club policies and regulations to support a functional, reliable, safe, and comfortable work environment for all.


JOB DUTIES

  • Maintain and clean all Member areas throughout the Club, including locker rooms, laundry room, washrooms, garbage removal, organizing, dusting, restocking, and sanitizing where necessary
  • Complete towel maintenance, including collecting soiled towels, laundering towels, folding and rolling clean towels, and replenishing supplies
  • Keep knowledgeable about Club events and set up Club decorations for seasonal events
  • Assist the Maintenance department with minor tasks when needed
  • Reports any building or equipment damages or defects to the reporting Manager
  • Greet all Members in a professional and courteous manner and direct them to the appropriate areas within the Club

REQUIREMENTS:


  • Must be able to work at 150 Cherry street, Toronto, ON
  • Must know how to use cleaning tools and equipment
  • Positive attitude and commitment to ensure high level of standards to all Members and their Guests
  • Must be organized and able to prioritize all daily tasks
  • Good communication skills oral and written
  • Able to work independently and within a team environment
