The Opportunity


As a Sales and Promotions Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving revenue growth and enhancing brand visibility through dynamic offers and promotions, retail store merchandising, in-store events, and direct-to-consumer trade shows.

Your primary focus is to craft and execute dynamic marketing strategies that captivate our audience, both online and in-store, resulting in increased sales and brand engagement.


Responsibilities:


  • Lead the Graphics Department in creating visually compelling materials for catalogs, web, print ads, instore signage, and product packaging
  • Supervise the creation and production of semiannual product catalogues and flyers
  • Curate and manage the marketing calendar, tracking the outcomes of promotional activities
  • Collaborate closely with Category Management to develop and execute promotional strategies aligned to the growth of the business, acting as lead for customer communications and POP displays Project manage crossfunctional teams (Marketing, Purchasing, Retail, Customer Service) to design and execute datadriven sales and promotion campaigns, leveraging insights from both marketing and purchasing data
  • Continuously assess market trends and competitor activities to stay ahead of industry changes and adjust sales and promotion strategies accordingly
  • Implement and manage loyalty programs or customer rewards initiatives to drive repeat business and customer retention
  • Collaborate with IT and data analytics teams to develop and maintain automated reporting tools for sales and promotional activities
  • Identify opportunities to introduce automation and datadriven solutions to streamline the sales and promotions process
  • Continuously monitor and analyze sales and advertising performance, implementing enhancements for more efficient and effective marketing campaigns
  • Coordinate and plan engaging marketing events, including largescale consumer trade shows, industry events and races, and other initiatives
  • Facilitate team meetings to set and review goals, provide performance insights, and communicate process changes, updates, and announcements
  • Collaborate as a key contributor on crossfunctional projects, collaborating with departments such as customer support, purchasing, logistics, warehouse operations, retail operations, graphic design, and IT

Qualifications:


  • 5+ years of experience in a similar role
  • Experience in multilocation omnichannel retail marketing
  • University or College level education in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field
  • Proficiency in handling print materials, radio and video media, and developing branded promotional content
  • Intermediate level knowledge of the Adobe Suite and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to mentor team members effectively
  • Strong project management, communication, and collaboration skills
  • Team player with a proven track record of meeting deadlines
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities
Additional Information

  • This role reports to the Director of Marketing
  • The role is based out of our Woodlawn location in Guelph, Ontario
  • This is a fulltime opportunity operating Monday-Friday, with additional overtime hours in peak seasons
  • This position may operate under flexible work hours and partial remote work arrangements following completion of the training period
