Investment Products Associate
Job Summary
As an Investment Products Associate, you will perform a wide range of duties to support investment advisors at Raymond James who use or would like to learn about Investment Products (mutual funds, ETFs, alternative investments, or structured notes).
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Demonstrate a highlevel of customer service, and respond to requests for information about Investment Products, using internally generated reports, thirdparty research, available subscription services/software, internet sources, and company websites;
- Create and keep uptodate various Investment Products publications, reference guides, whitepapers, PowerPoint presentations, databases, excel files, folders, and internal websites, ensuring that the information is accurate, updated in a timely manner, and reflective of Raymond James' branding;
- Take notes on meetings with fund managers and during webinars; and
- Other duties as assigned.
What You Will Bring
- Excellent analytical and technical skills, including an advanced level understanding of Microsoft Excel and VBA;
- Financial software including FactSet and Morningstar Direct with experience using them and their related excel plugins/formulas;
- Strong understanding of financial terminology and the private client environment;
- Strong understanding of product structures and investments covering multiple asset classes (equity, fixed income, mutual funds, ETFs, alternative funds, and structured notes);
- Great communication skills, selfstarter, quick learner, solutionsoriented problem solver, highly organized, appreciation for strong attention to detail and accuracy, ability to think logically and critically and distill difficult concepts into an easytounderstand language, and able to work with large quantities of data to produce various reports;
- Ability to create professional presentations/reports and adhere to corporate brand standards; and
- Written and verbal communication in English. (Fluency in French is a definite asset).
Education/Previous Work Experience Requirements
- Postsecondary education and relevant industry (e.g. CSI, CFA, MBA enrolled) designations; and
- A minimum of 23 years' of relevant experience in the investment industry (e.g., equity research, asset management, wealth management, investment banking, corporate finance).
