PROGRAM OVERVIEW:

SHOW offers safe and affordable housing with a wide range of individualized and voluntary programs and supports to people who have experienced chronic or persistent homelessness and barriers to housing stability, including physical health, substance use and mental health issues.

SHOW works within a harm reduction framework, understanding that some tenants may be actively using substances and/or experiencing diagnosed and undiagnosed mental health conditions.

  • Monitor tenant and guest comings and goings, and ensure that building remains secure
  • Arrive for shift change in a timely fashion, 15 minutes before beginning of shift
  • Participate in shifts changes with in-coming and out-going staff members, exchanging information related to important events and strategies for supporting tenants over the course of a shift
  • Assist tenants in accessing food pantry, sometimes with light food preparation, cleaning and tidying
