Foodland is currently seeking a friendly and reliable Deli Clerk to join our team. The Deli Clerk is responsible for providing excellent customer service while preparing, slicing, and packaging deli products. This role helps maintain a clean, well-stocked, and welcoming deli department while following food safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Slice, weigh, package, and label deli meats and cheeses
• Prepare ready-to-eat items according to company standards
• Provide friendly and helpful customer service, including product recommendations
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of deli equipment, counters, and work areas
• Ensure proper food handling, storage, and product rotation
• Stock deli displays and monitor product freshness
• Follow all food safety, health, and workplace safety guidelines
• Assist with opening and closing duties as required

Qualifications

• Previous deli, food service, or customer service experience is an asset
• Knowledge of food safety practices is an asset
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights
• Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
