Overview:
Track Canada is looking for an aspiring finance professional to join our team. If you have a passion for accounting, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and have at least 5 years of marketing or agency experience then we may have a job for you


Reporting to the Controller of Track Canada, the CFA's role is to work with Account Services and Producers/Project Managers to manage our client's budgets, estimates, cash flow and invoices.

He/she must build and maintain a strong working relationship with Account Service and work as a liaison to assist them with client financial requirements and to uphold internal control policies.


Responsibilities:


  • Work closely with client teams to review job detail, billings, new job request / closings, OOP & WIP tracking, job transfer, write offs, and project change, staying abreast of changes and modifications to client budgets.
  • Assisting in the creation of job estimates, budgets and client staffing plans; ensuring adherence to contract billing policies and workflow procedures; providing summaries of monthly billing and reconciliations.
  • Reconciliation of client budgets and staff time.
  • Issue invoices in accordance with client requirements in a timely and accurate manner, ensuring all applicable taxes are applied.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with agency personnel related to financial processes and deliverables.
  • Explain and translate financial reports to team members.
  • Assist with Financial onboarding of new hires including time & expense entry, and PO processing.
  • Lead and document monthly billing meetings with Account Service and Producers/Project Managers to review all active client projects.
  • Recognize revenue every monthend in compliance with GAAP.
  • Manage and report on estimate vs actual for all jobs, taking appropriate action when WIP is at risk.
  • Ensure production jobs and campaigns are reconciled and closed on a timely basis.
  • Manage open Jobs and Purchase Order reports on a monthly basis to ensure timely closure.
  • AR Management, work with the Finance team and assist with collection process as needed.
  • WIP Management, including unbilled WIP for accruals, weekly WIP reports, unbilled time and costs.
  • Process new client and vendor set up requests.
  • Responsible for the daytoday support of all budgetary and financial issues relating to assigned clients.
  • Assist with preparation of all internal and external audits and Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) initiatives.
  • Work closely with managing intercompany revenue cross charges.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 5 years Finance experience preferably in Advertising
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel for analysis (such as Pivot tables, VLOOKUP, SUMIF)
  • Knowledge of MS Dynamics AX, or MediaOcean/DDS a plus
  • Initiative and ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Approachable and solutionoriented
  • Attention to accuracy and detail required
  • Understanding of accounting concepts
  • Has the mentality of "doing what is right" over what is convenient
