Our company is growing and we currently have an opening for
_On-Site Material Handler & Coordinator_ for our job sites in the Lower Mainland.
_Pitt Meadows Plumbing and Mechanical Systems_ is family owned and operated and has been a leader in the plumbing and mechanical industry for almost 40 years. We specialize in pre-fabrication, modular systems and installation of medium to large scale commercial, institutional, educational and medical design-build plumbing and mechanical projects.
Accountability:
Project Manager / Superintendent
Primary Duty:
To support the on-site team by ordering, receiving and organizing all equipment, materials and supplies.
Primary Responsibility:
Reporting to the Project Manager and Superintendent, the
_On-Site Material Handler & Coordinator_ is responsible to ensure that the PMP site is meeting the highest standards of quality and that all personnel have the materials they need in a timely fashion to meet all assigned deadlines.
_On-Site Material Handler & Coordinator_ is responsible for:
- Loading and unloading trucks
- Distributing material
- Inventory control
- Solving problems to keep site labour flowing
- Fixing and repairing tools and equipment including regular maintenance as necessary
- Coordinating material pick ups and deliveries
- Rigging loads for crane lifts
- Tracking and monitoring order processes with PMP shop and various suppliers
- Constantly striving to improve processes for the team
- Performing other duties as required.

- Construction experience is a must
- Warehouse and/or Shipping & Receiving experience a must
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely in writing and orally a must
- WHMIS, dangerous goods, variable reach forklift and regular forklift tickets a must
- Ability to rig loads for crane lifts would be an asset
- Ability to learn site specific software would be an asset
- Knowledge of plumbing & mechanical components would be an asset
- Work Conditions_
- This is a fulltime position
- Able to lift 50 lbs.
- Overtime as required
- Able to work in the elements

- Compensation:_ $2838/hr. (DOE) + Health & Dental 100% Company-Paid Benefits + 5% RRSP + Life Insurance + LTD
