Leigh Event Group is looking for a strong Assistant that has a passion for all things design, not afraid to occasionally steer the ship and has impeccable organization, multi-tasking and attention to details skills.

This position has responsibility for booking, liaising and finalizing event functions, inclusive of but not limited to weddings, holiday parties, corporate dinner meetings, corporate functions, while maintaining a calm and professional environment always.

Working with the Creative Director, you will produce exceptional events from conception through to completion. You will provide outstanding customer service and organize memorable events that meet Leigh Event Group's unique quality expectations.

The duties and responsibilities of an Event Planning Assistant vary widely, as they are largely dependent on which tasks are delegated by the Creative Director.


  • Exceptional organization skills (Master of note taking)
  • Works well under pressure (making no mistakes, because you're super organized)
  • Ability to handle multiple deadlines and meet them in advance.
  • Expert skills in Microsoft Office
  • Experience working in Canva
  • Superb attention to detail
  • Can think outside the box and continuously WOW the LEG team with new and fresh ideas and processes.
  • Inspiration Design Board Experience
  • Floor Plan Design Experience
  • CRM experience is a must and a bonus if you know Dubsado or Aisle Planner.
  • Extremely punctual (Understand that arriving on time means that you're late)
  • Experience in working with senior management, that is extremely demanding and work very quickly
  • Prepared to put in the work to make things happen
  • Experience working in a creative environment.
  • Excellent customer service skills

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Plan and produce events while managing all project delivery elements within time limits
  • Liaise with clients to identify their needs and to exceed customer satisfaction
  • Work with Creative Director on new event proposals and generate leads
  • Conduct market research, gather information and negotiate contracts prior to closing any deals
  • Propose ideas to improve provided services and overall event quality
  • Organize facilities and manage all event's details such as audio visual, decor, catering, entertainment, transportation, location, invitee list, special guests, equipment, promotional material, print & signage, staffing, etc.
  • Develop event budgets and track actual versus budgeted expenditures
  • Specify all production and onsite staff requirements and coordinate their activities
  • Proactively handle any arising issues and troubleshoot any emerging problems on the event day
  • Conduct pre
- and post - event evaluations and report on outcomes

  • Research market, identify event opportunities, generate interest and potential sales
  • Maintain and promote the Leigh Event Group brand and image
  • Attend Vendor Meetings
  • Work on event days for extended periods of time you are on your feet.
  • Aisle Planner Maintenance (including but not limited to file creation, client file management, template/ checklists maintenance, new suppliers, vendors, etc.)
  • All administrative tasks related to clients
  • Update + Manage company schedule (Acuity) as required
  • Co-Managing clients with Creative Director
  • Role of Event Manager when working on event days
  • Follow up with all clients once service is complete for reviews, photos + video
  • Create + Distribute + Update/ Revise Inspiration Boards for all clients
  • Additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:


  • Valid Driver's License and reliable access to a vehicle is a must for this position.
  • Must be available to travel internationally with a valid passport.
  • Extremely capable at multitasking.
  • Consistently punctual.
  • Committed to pursuing perfection and detailorientated
  • Proven event design, management and pro
