Installer Helper/Trainee

Job Type:
Full-Time, Permanent. Start Immediately.


Pay Rate:
Up to $18.00 / hour. Pay will be determined based on experience.


Hours: 7:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.


Work Experience:
Experience with glass preferred, but willing to train.


Skills:
Hand-eye coordination, attention to detail, motivated self-starter.


Requirements:
A valid driver's license and clean driver's abstract, Safety shoes & hard hat.


Responsibilities & Expectations:

• Assist with onsite measurements for installation purposes.
• Assist in loading & transportation of materials to site, and offloading materials for installation.
• Ability to read a measuring tape accurately. Read and understand drawings.
• Assist with installation of vanity mirrors, wire shelving, shower enclosures, closet sliders, glass backsplashes, bathroom accessories, sliding wall partitions etc.
• Processing of necessary paperwork through all stages mentioned above.
• Keep work environment organized in accordance with health and safety requirements.
• Able to handle glass safely. Must be able to lift 25kg plus consistently.
• Able to work with mínimal supervision. Safely operate company van or truck. Punctual, dependable, and able to work some longer days.
• Must work well with others.
• Handy and comfortable using power tools. Some construction experience is an asset.
• Strong communication skills both written and verbally. Other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
