The Opportunity

This position works out of our Mississauga location in the Abbott Diabetes Care (ADC) Division.

In ADC, we're focused on helping people with diabetes manage their health with life-changing products that provide accurate data to drive better-informed decisions.

We're revolutionizing the way people monitor their glucose levels with our new sensing technology.


As the Market Access Coordinator, you will be responsible for various coordination, support and administrative tasks within the sales team.

You will report to the Market Access Director and closely works with the marketing, sales, operations and finance teams.

What You'll Do

  • Veeva entry:
  • Coordinate the internal approval of market access documents, such as PowerPoints, submission documents, conference materials etc. to ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures.
  • Finance processes:
  • Coordinate MSA and SOW approvals and entry, including internal approvals coordination;
  • Coordinate all approvals of Purchase Orders (PO) and invoices;
  • Maintain financial gaiting templates on a weekly basis;
  • Coordinate and initiate PSA, HCP honoraria and other cheque requests and treat invoices for payments through Sonar;
  • Monitor PLA expiries/renewals and other important dates.
  • Market Access coordination:
  • Format and revise draft presentations and other meeting materials as per Abbott standards;
  • Assist with the coordination and submission of all market access dossier, including but not limited to public and private payer submissions, stakeholder submissions, etc.;
  • Coordinate travel and hotel arrangements for market access team for internal or external meetings;
  • Organize Market Access Folder in shared drive on a monthly basis;
  • Assist in coordinating of market access team's vacation in shared drive;
  • Assist management in the logistic process;
  • Coordinate Market Access Director calendar with meetings and travel;
  • Designs and creates forms for internal and external use, when necessary.
  • Other administrative duties:
  • Provide administrative services utilizing: Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint, fax, photocopy etc.
Required Qualifications

  • College degree (normal length of two years);
  • 35 years of experience in a similar role;
  • Experience working with basic computer software like MS Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) as well as Internet;
  • Administrative and project management experience;
  • Experience with various financial processes such as PO, material inventory management;
  • Experience working with market access, or marketing team and thirdparty suppliers
  • Leadership and accountability;
  • Detailoriented;
  • Proven organizational, written and oral communication skills;
  • Ability to work with mínimal or no supervision and guidance;
  • Ability to exercise initiative, i.e., think before doing, take on more before being asked, proactively anticipate needs and requirements and act accordingly;
  • Superior time management and priority setting skills;
  • Project and process management skills;
  • Good understanding of financial processes;
  • Capacity to manage tight deadlines;
  • Proven capability to work in a team and to manage multiple deadlines and projects.
