***Reporting to the Project Manager, the Quality Control Coordinator will collaborate with various teams including Project Coordination, Site Supervision, Clients, and Trade partners. Primary responsibilities include overseeing quality work, assisting with managing project planning and scheduling, resource allocation, and control all while adhering to Urban One's Quality Management Program.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTION AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Demonstrate leadership in health, safety and environmental protection. Comply with and effectively implement Urban One's Safety Program to ensure safety and environmental standards are met or exceeded
  • Provide technical expertise, training, and tools to promote continuous improvement to Urban One's Quality Management Program
  • Implement and monitor the approved Quality Management Plan for the project
  • Review and suggest methods to reduce waste and increase efficiency
  • Define and implement quality control procedures with field staff
  • Take charge of implementing and monitoring the approved Quality Management plan of the project
  • Coordinate all Quality Assurance/Control activities with site management
  • Coordinate all quality related correspondence and documentation with the Owner's Representative(s)
  • Generate weekly Quality Control reports to reinforce adherence to project specifications and standards
  • Chair and document weekly Quality Control Meetings with the site management team and trade contractors QC personnel
  • Review quality inspection personnel qualifications and training requirements
  • Address nonconformance issues constructively and efficiently
  • Control and distribute all company quality documentation
  • Conduct internal and external site audits on behalf of Urban One

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Post-Secondary Degree or Diploma in Engineering, Architecture, Building Technology, or Construction Management
  • 2+ years related work experience or a combination of relevant education and experience
  • Experience on Multi-Family Residential Highrise and Lowrise Buildings, Mixeduse, Institutional and Commercial Projects
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Strong technical understanding of construction methods and planning
  • Strong technical writing and report preparation skills


  • ERP Systems

  • Construction Management Software (i.e., Viewpoint CS, Procore, etc.)
  • Microsoft Project or Primavera
  • Microsoft Office Suite
  • Proven track record of team collaboration
