Summary


Cardinal Health Canada is seeking a
Vice-President, Marketing and Commercial Excellence to join our executive team and drive a diverse, inclusive, and collaborative culture.

Reporting to the Canada President, the incumbent will lead a team of seven experienced directors, responsible for channel marketing, product management, digital marketing, supplier relationships, commercial enablement, pricing and contracts.

This role is highly collaborative in nature and the incumbent will build strong relationships and operate with alignment across sales, operations and supply chain, regulatory affairs and quality, customer care, communications, and legal & compliance at the local and Global level.

Marketing


The role is responsible for overseeing all activities associated with Cardinal Health Canada's national and regional marketing strategies for both Cardinal Health's branded products and our distributed products as well as our service offerings.

The role functions as the key executive liaison between Cardinal Health Canada and our strategic supplier partners.

The incumbent will also build strong partnerships at the enterprise level and engage with Cardinal Health executives on portfolio strategy, new product development and global Marketing initiatives to ensure strong alignment across the broader organization.

Through cross-functional collaboration, the Vice-President of Marketing and Commercial Excellence will synthesize and develop market insights and strategies, and implement business plans in close alignment with our sales leaders to increase long-term profitability across our channels.

Commercial Excellence

The role also oversees the strategy and leadership of teams across commercial enablement and pricing and contracts teams.

The incumbent will be accountable for evolving the commercial excellence function into a strategic, value-added enabler of future growth through tools, technology, and training to support our sales team.

The role will also set and oversee our pricing and contract management strategy ensuring long-term profitable growth and financial rigor for our contracted business.

In addition, this leader will liaise with local and global teams to ensure we deliver best-in-class customer care.

_ Your Contributions to the Organization will be_:

  • Serve as a member of the Canada executive team
  • Provide vision and longterm strategic direction for the evolution of the marketing and commercial excellence teams and foster a culture of empowerment, accountability, and crossfunctional collaboration across our national and regional models
  • Coach, lead, and develop a team of seasoned leaders across Marketing and Commercial Excellence
  • Full P&L responsibility for the function
  • Utilize broad and deep knowledge to develop innovative new business practices, policies, and procedures
  • Ensure team develops strategic marketing plans and value propositions for each region and/or channel by size, competitors, products, services and determine the optimal gotomarket strategy to drive sales
  • Develop and assess new and existing supplier relationships and opportunities
  • Negotiate with suppliers, approve finalization or renewal of distribution agreements and responsible for supplier profitability, ensuring supplier performance metrics and quarterly business reviews
  • New products and services: identify product and or market gaps, develop business case, champion implementation and monitor impact on P&L
  • Own and continuously improve product and services & solutions growth programs, including pricing, markets, promotions, launches, marketing collateral, inventory and clinical support
  • Digital marketing competency with experience in overseeing ecommerce, paid Google advertisement, SEO optimization, and digital marketing tools with a proven track record of ROI
  • Optimize and refine the RFI, RFP, and strategic pricing processes for Cardinal Health Canada in strong alignment with legal, compliance and finance
  • Influence and support worldclass customer care processes and outcomes
