What is the opportunity?

We are currently recruiting for a temporary, full-time Utility Services Labourer for our Utility Services Team.


Reporting to the Lead, Utility Services, and Public Services Project Manager, the Utility services Labourer is responsible for assisting with the maintenance and operation of the City of Leduc's water distribution and collection infrastructure, as well as the Capital Region Southwest Water Commission's transmission system.

What will you do?- Perform water quality testing- Operation and maintenance of all associated water valves- Testing, operation and maintenance of fire hydrants- Perform service lateral maintenance as required- Operation and maintenance of all appurtenances- Maintain cleanliness and appearances of wastewater and storm list stations externally and internally

What do you need to succeed?- High School Diploma- Level 1 certification in Water/Wastewater Collection is an asset- Confined space entry is an asset- Working knowledge of WHMIS, OH&S standards and Standard First Aid- Class 5 license with no more than 6 demerits points- Competitive salary- City of Leduc Employee and Family Assistance Program (EFAP)- Annual City of Leduc recreation pass, including access to free drop-in programs
