Olds Softgels Inc. is a fast-paced, international manufacturer of pharmaceutical, and cannabis products. We currently have an opening for a full time, career-oriented individual to serve as a Quality Assurance Analystat our facility in Olds, Alberta. This role reports to the Quality Manager and is responsible for completing tasks related to monitoring, testing, reporting, and ensuring quality of the product and processes throughout the facility.


Specific Job Duties:


  • Assist the Quality Manager in all aspects of the Quality Management System.
  • Assist in developing and improving existing standards and quality targets.
  • Coordinate special projects as required.
  • Develop and update specifications for all materials and products.
  • Coordinate and process events and CAPA investigations.
  • Write reports and protocols including SOPs and work instructions to ensure continuous compliance with Health Canada, the FDA, the Cannabis Act, and GPP/GMP standards.
  • Initiate audit programs (regulatory, internal and third party).
  • Maintain a document control system to create, update and control forms and facility procedures ensuring GMP compliance.
  • Develop user requirements for computerized systems.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:


  • Bachelor's Degree in a related scientific field.
  • Experience in a quality position within the pharmaceutical, food, natural health products, or cannabis industry considered to be an asset.
  • Knowledge of Cannabis Act and its Regulations.
  • Adept at problem solving, project management and strong communication skills with an excellent attention to detail.
  • Proven analytical and creative thinker with the ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Proficient user of excel and word.
  • Ability to manage workflow pressures and competing priorities.

  • 8 hour shift

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Olds, AB: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)
