Emergency preparedness is a critical aspect of CCH operations. It is essential that all staff and physicians receive training and understand their roles and responsibilities in this field.


Summary of responsibilities:

Temporary Full-Time (up to one-year)


Requirements of the job:


  • Experience with a fullcycle recruitment process
  • College program with emphasis on Human Resources or a related field of study or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience developing talent acquisition campaigns and strategies, including LinkedIn and other social media vehicles
  • Experience working with an applicant tracking system (e.g., NJOYN)
  • Experience working with human resources information systems and metrics
  • Knowledge of collective agreements and/or working with unions
  • Experience in a healthcare related industry is an asset
  • Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) designation an asset

Key skills or competencies:


  • Partners with the hiring manager to facilitate the endtoend recruitment process
  • Coaches hiring managers in all aspects of the talent acquisition process.
  • Develops and executes creative and innovative corporate and individual recruitment strategies and campaigns.
  • Establish a social media recruitment channel and participates in networking and recruitment events to promote the Cornwall Community Hospital.
  • Develops appropriate prescreening, skills assessments and interview tools and guides to equip managers with the necessary information to make informed hiring decisions.
  • Conducts prescreens, coordinates and participates in interviews in collaboration with hiring managers ensuring a clientfocused experience.
  • Works with the HR Department and other stakeholders to ensure a seamless employee onboarding and orientation.
  • Responsible for tracking and maintaining accurate and uptodate postings, information and reports within the Cornwall Community Hospital applicant tracking system and other HR systems.
  • Leads and/or contributes to HR program development delivery in the areas of talent acquisition and onboarding.
  • Collaborates with HR colleagues on various HR initiatives and process improvements.
