Overview

Help bring local history to life at the Woodstock Museum The Woodstock Museum National Historic Site strives to interpret the past, present and future through conservation, education and exhibition of local history.

The Museum offers a variety of different work experiences in an interactive, inclusive, and supportive environment. Students are given many responsibilities and opportunities based on their experience to learn and develop new skills.

Available Positions

Summer Camp Assistant:

work with camp instructors to help deliver a fun and supportive camp experience for kids aged 5-12 that helps enhance healthy child development through safe, stimulating and positive activities.


Visitor Services Assistant:
welcomes visitors to the Museum and assists with processing memberships, museum promotions, special events and daily operations.

Curatorial Management:

conduct research on collections and exhibits, documenting and entering information into collection database, assist with the setup and installation or exhibits including moving historical artifacts.


Qualifications
To be considered for the above positions, applicants must possess the following minimum qualifications:

  • Students aged who are returning to school in the fall.
  • Excellent customer relations skills
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision
  • Experience relevant to the specific position you're interested in (e.g., Standard First Aid and CPR, working with kids, database management, research, writing and photography).

Even better if you have:

  • Experience working or volunteering in a museum or library setting.
  • An interest in history.

Application Details

  • Salary range is $ $17.40 depending on the position.
  • Scheduled 35hour work week, which may include weekends and alternate shift hours.
  • These positions are dependent on grant funding.
