The Treasury Manager role serves a critical role in the oversight of treasury operations and cash management for Opta in North America.

The Treasury Manager will also work very closely with the treasury team in Europe to manage the Company's global cash flows and financing activities.

Primary responsibilities will include cash forecasting, analysis, month end reporting, debt compliance, and maintaining proper internal controls.

The Treasury Manager will also be involved with corporate development and M&A activities, debt refinancing and alternative financing arrangements, and other special projects.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage strategic and daytoday treasury operations for the Opta group of companies in North America including daily cash management, shortterm investing and trade settlement activities, intercompany funding and foreign exchange transactions
  • Responsible for monitoring the Company's global liquidity position, including consolidated cash flows and debt positions
  • Act as the primary contact between the Company and key outside financial institutions, play a key role in developing and maintaining a strong relationship with lenders
  • Responsible for key treasury deliverables including developing and monitoring the Company's compliance with financial covenants, submission of borrowing base certificates, and responding to other requests from lenders
  • Develop and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly internal treasury reporting and KPIs, including the 13week cash flow forecast and treasury dashboard
  • Support management of the global insurance program
  • Assist with the preparation of monthly reporting packages to the senior management and shareholders
  • Develop of strong working relationships with key internal business partners (senior leadership team, business/department owners, finance organization, etc.)
  • Support operational needs as required by Accounting/Finance and Tax
  • Drive continuous process improvements; leverage systems and available technology to automate process for efficiency and scalability
  • All other duties as assigned

CANDIDATE PROFILE

Specific performance and personal competencies:


  • Articulate, straightforward, and succinct with excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Capacity to work successfully with peers in the pursuit of common enterprisewide goals
  • Ability to produce results through influence and persuasion, as opposed to direct line authority
  • Wellrounded business acumen and experience in assessing operations and business processes
  • Strong analytical, financial and systems skills
  • Experience with Power BI, Tableau or other data analytics tools would be an asset
  • Proficiency in commercial online banking platforms
  • Passion for producing results that have an impact
  • Desire to advance in the organization

Education:


  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or related area
  • CPA, CFA, CTP or MBA would be an asset

Experience:


  • 5 to 10+ years related experience in treasury; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience working in a multinational, multicurrency environment would be an asset
