Primary Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain the company's storagebased systems and the deployment of these storage technologies
  • Work with existing System Administrators and DBAs to optimize storage, backup, restore and replication
  • Provide architecture and performance recommendations within the IT infrastructure team.
  • Ensure backup methods are in place and testing of FC LUNs
  • Develop and maintain records for entire storage systems
  • Review system performance and efficiency.
  • Analyzes and resolves complex storage problems across the enterprise, related to replication strategies, and storage strategies across wide area networks.
  • Provides recommendations on storage upgrades and supports project integration as required.
  • Case-Handling with several vendors
  • Documentation and maintain network diagrams and configuration changes
  • Plan and execute changes, including coordination, planning and notification about changes.
  • Make recommendations for the enhancement of the operational processes
  • Provide regional Firewall administration support
  • Work in a global team of experts to support internal and external customers around the globe
  • Conduct monthly (weekend) maintenance activities Secondary Responsibilities.

1 Qualifications, Experience and Educational Requirements Work Experience:

  • Must have minimum 7 years of experience in managing and configuring systems, storage and backup solutions

Skills and Competencies:

  • Deep knowledge in storage and backup management (HPE, Netapp, Commvault) is mandatory
  • Experience in troubleshooting Windows Server, complex computing platforms, storage systems including SAN and NAS arrays, and cuttingedge technologies involving virtualization, distribution, and high availability
  • Knowledge of existing industry standards, technologies, and operational norms
  • Knowledge about VMWare, Linux and Microsoft Windows-Server technologies is appreciated
  • Experience with NetApp and HPE 3PAR/Primera arrays is preferred
  • Deep understanding of storage protocols such as NFS, CIFS, FC, etc, backup and recovery
  • Experience in managing storage systems from vendors such as EMC, NetApp & HPE
  • Working experience in Server Operating System Administration.
  • Basic Understanding in Network-Technologies.
  • Experience in Rack
- and Blade-Server technologies.

  • Experience in structured and formalized IT operations according to ITIL standard
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to direct their teams and communicate IT needs to organization leaders
  • Selforganizes, collaborates and manages efforts with peers and teams across responsibility areas, languages, geography and time zones
  • Aselfstarter, curious and not afraid to ask questions and challenge the way things are done today

  • Responsible to maintain confidentiality Education:
  • College Certification or University Degree in the technology related field, or equivalent work experience
  • Certification in OS, Storage and Backup solutions

Job Types:
Full-time, Permanent


Salary:
$85,000.00-$110,000.00 per year
