Description

Established in 2018 under Nova Scotia's Education Act, the objectives of the bureau are to support the efficient administration and operations of Nova Scotia's public education system, and to provide and administer services to support groups for the benefit of individuals or groups related to the education system, including administering the benefit and pension plans for non-teaching employees of participating education entities.

The Manager of Financial Services will lead all aspects of the financial and accounting services of the bureau and provide expertise to all financial and accounting-related matters.

As the Manager of Financial Services, you will be responsible for providing financial advice and direction across all operations of the bureau.

You will be responsible for the overall budget and forecast processes, including oversight of the bureau's Computer for Schools Plus program.

You will be responsible for the preparation of accurate and timely financial information to meet budget, forecast, and financial reporting requirements, to meet client requirements as needed, and to provide budget assistance and financial planning advice and analysis.

As the Manager, Financial Services, you will report to the Executive Director of the Nova Scotia Education Common Services Bureau.
