We have an excellent opportunity for
Transfer Driver

We are looking for an on-call Transfer Driver to be available for work from Friday at 5pm to Monday at 7am. You'll be paid an on-call rate for time not worked, and an hourly rate for hours worked over the course of the weekend.

The Opportunity:

The
Transfer Driver position requires a high level of compassion and a caring individual who enjoys helping others and being on call.

We are looking for individuals with excellent communication skills, who enjoy working with and helping people.

Must be proficient in English both spoken and verbal (other languages an asset) and be able to perform physical requirements of the job.

Duties may include:

Preparing and processing of paperwork for each transfer at various locations of transfer.
Preparing, transferring and transportation of deceased individuals from their place of passing (care homes, hospices, hospitals, residences, etc.) to the funeral home.
Driving company vehicles to and from all locations in a safe and professional manner.
Maintaining company vehicles in a clean and organized manner and assisting with the sharing of company vehicles.
Assisting with other duties as required.

Required Education, Skills, and Qualifications:

Have a good demeanor and professional outlook.
Be an excellent communicator and team player.
Hold themselves to a high standard of service.
Be empathetic and compassionate.
Be someone who likes to help others.
Willing to work fulltime on call during evenings and weekends only.
Will be physically capable of standing for long periods.
Be able to comfortably lift 5075 lbs. and transfer decedents from one place to another.
Have a Class 5 driver's license with a good driving record.
Be able to provide their own black suit.
