Job Description
The community of Yorkton, located in Southeast Saskatchewan, is seeking a team orientated and professional General Surgeon to join the department of surgery. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to operate their own private practice in the community as well as work collaboratively with other medical professionals to support the acute care and emergency services Yorkton.
The Yorkton Regional Health Centre is a fully accredited 86 inpatient bed hospital equipped with 4 OR suites. In-patient units include: Medicine, Pediatrics, Surgery, Intensive Care Unit, and Obstetrics with a well-baby nursery. Outpatient services include: Emergency Department, Hemodialysis, Chemotherapy, Diagnostics, Psychiatry and Mental Health.
The Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA) is dedicated to learning and is a partner in the educational needs of medical students, residents, nursing staff and allied health professionals. The successful candidate will be encouraged to become involved in the academic efforts in the Department of Surgery in our area.
