We are currently looking for a positive, energetic, and meticulous Material Handler.

This position will be responsible for performing a variety of duties within our Shipping Department, including shipping & receiving of parts and components, packing, tracking and maintenance of inventory.


Start Date:
Immediately.


Wage Range:
$23 - $25 per hour, depending on experience.


Location:3291 8 St, Nisku, AB T9E 8T3


Shifts Available:
Day shift.


Key Responsibilities:


  • At all times, the Material Handler will be responsible for ensuring the Health & Safety of themselves, their peers and customers in an environmentally friendly manner.
  • Responsible for assembling and packing outgoing containers and crates record all contents, affixing identifying information and shipping instructions.
  • Responsible for determining methods of shipment and arranging shipping preparing bills of lading, custom forms, invoices, and all other shipping documents, whether manually or electronically when needed.
  • Loading and unloading products and materials from trucks by hand or using material handling equipment (forklift, hand truck or other equipment)
  • Complete a match to inspect and verify incoming goods against PO's, packing slips and other documents to verify shipment order accuracy recording shortages, including damaged goods.
  • Unpack, mark, and route all goods to appropriate storage and/or work areas.
  • Adhere to shipping and receiving policies/procedures and regulatory compliance procedures maintaining internal records within the systems.
  • Support internal shipping team where needed.
  • Participate in inventory cycle counts to ensure accuracy.
  • Assist in maintaining yard when needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Profile and Required Skills:


  • Completion of Secondary education
  • Minimum 13 years of direct related experience warehousing and/or heavy equipment experience
  • Valid Forklift certificate
  • Data entry experience and Inventory tracking/cycle count experience an asset.
  • Working knowledge of safe lifting and handling techniques
  • Crane certificate an asset
  • Valid driver's license including drivers' abstract.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work and collaborate with all levels.
  • Energetic, selfmotivated, creative with positive outlook
  • Keen attention to detail and meticulous delivery of the highest quality of standards and accuracy; strong organizational skills
  • Strong work ethic: demonstrated time management, ability to prioritize, multitask and maintain flexibility.
  • Ability to work well autonomously and within a collaborative environment.
  • Must be open to continuous learning and improvement.

Physical requirements

  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Fit to be walking, standing, bending, lifting, and performing continuous and repetitive movements.
  • Day shift, some weekends when needed.
