As a member of the Wafer Fab Manufacturing Operations team, you will fulfill the role of a supervisor on our night shift (C shift - Sun, Mon, and Tues; and every second Sat).

Your primary responsibility will be to act as a leader for the shift that will support the team and processes in the Wafer Fab manufacturing areas and lead the team to deliver department goals in a safe and compliant manner.

You'll have a chance to act as a liaison between internal teams and shifts to ensure that the management of the operational goals and material supply are given the appropriate attention and prioritization.

You have the ability to work independently or as part of a team to deliver results for the business; and will work with a variety of departments to achieve the efficient flow of material in and out of the Wafer Fab manufacturing area.


What You'll Do

  • Responsible for the manufacturing and delivery of assigned product targets for the Wafer Fab subassemblies in a safe and compliant manner.
  • 75% of onsite work hours are devoted to being in the Manufacturing Operations clean room areas.
  • Interprets company goals, translates to department goals and communicates those goals, objectives, operational policies, and procedures to direct reports.
  • Develops and coaches direct reports and is aware of staff loading and scheduling to ensure that the Wafer Fab is able to achieve optimal equipment utilization.
  • Oversees material supply and ensures that there is an efficient flow of materials to the internal production areas.
  • Takes the initiative to recommend and implement productivity improvements and process changes. Encourages the team to share their recommendations for improvements as well.
  • Develop training plans for direct reports, in collaboration with trainers and other supervisors/team leaders to ensure 100% compliance to training requirements.
  • Promotes a safe working environment by ensuring staff are aware of and comply with all internal health and safety policies and related legislation.
  • Ensure that the individual and team goals of all direct reports are understood and work with all shift teams to promote teamwork and independence. Encourage crosstraining to help out crossfunctional Manufacturing spaces when required.
  • Supports and monitors individual and team performance targets.
  • Provides feedback on accomplishments and ensures immediate action is taken when there are misprocessing or setbacks for the team.
  • Promotes a positive and professional work environment.
  • Supports continuous learning, improvements, and information sharing for our Operations teams.
  • Motivates direct reports through interpersonal interactions on a regular basis through mentoring, creative ideas sharing for innovation, and empowering them in the work they do daily through collaboration and encouragement.
  • Develops and maintains effective relationships with support staff teams that work in the Wafer Fab manufacturing area to ensure equipment and material can flow efficiently.
  • Account for any anomalies caused by downtime of equipment, or yield concerns on material supply by making scheduling adjustments with management team.
  • Is able to escalate and communicate issues when they arise and translate the impacts to the Wafer Fab manufacturing area.
  • Collaborates with Quality Assurance to ensure that the team is compliant with quality guidelines and following the principles for GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices). Any misprocessing concerns or nonconformances should be followed up in a timely fashion, with consulting our support teams.
  • Responsible for safeguarding the environment and maintaining a safe and healthy workplace culture.
