We are currently looking for a Parts Manager.Parts Manager, BIGRIG Partz, is responsible for the operational, financial and customer service performances of a branch location.
Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions**):
- Parts Manager drives initiative in a team atmosphere; develops individual program budgets; handles employee time/payroll; conducts regular meetings with staff to address safety, sales and project tasks and planning. Reports to National Parts Director as well as General Manager of /Branch-Location.
- Creates a sales business plan; the individual represents /Branch in operations meetings when necessary; and contribute to longterm and shortterm organizational planning and strategies when applicable.
- Responsible for Parts Operation P&L of /Branch Location and is expected to help summarize monthly, quarterly, and yearly revenues as well as expenses occurred in those periods.
- Push directives from National Parts Director on /Branch Sales, adheres employee growth and training.
- Manage daily inventory control levels to reduce inventory loss, as well keep inventory to a moderate level to satisfy customer expectancy and management oversite. Keeping a daily fill rate of 98% or better. With a consistency of a ITR (Inventory Turn Ratio) of seven times a year based on inventory value.
Cooperates with National Inventory Controller on Inventory accountability and always making themselves accessible to provide data to accompany inventory fluctuation.
- Support /Branch Inventory Control Clerk with daily, weekly, quarterly, yearly cycle count as well as prepare for an audit of inventory anytime throughout the fiscal year.
- Create and schedule employee times (Mon-Friday) including lunches to minimize overtime.
- Customer Profiling and Vendor Requisitions (Regional Info) will help increase revenue and add profitability for BigRig Partz /Branch-Location.
- Lead improvement projects, and safety initiatives to continuously improve the department.
- Collaborate with the Merchandising & Warehouse Manager to grow overall parts business and improve operational effectiveness
Qualifications & Skills:
REQUIRED:
- 5+ years of Heavy-Duty/Medium Duty Parts Experience.
- Minimum 5+ years of Management level expertise and training in or outside of industry.
- Excellent and efficient Microsoft Office/Computer Skills (Excel, Word, Etc.).
- Ability to handle a small team.
- Ability to read and process company P&L. Discuss Budgeting, Profits and Losses.
- Strong Verbal and Written Communication Skills.
- Must have a collaborative management style and be able to engage in different department levels.
- Interpersonal skills should also be present to a Parts Ops Manager.
- Must be able to handle a fast paced and community environment and be able to analyze problems quickly and efficiently.
- A Parts Manager follows a standard 40hour (plus) a week schedule. As an Exempt employee. Overtime (If applicable) during evenings, weekends and holidays may be necessary especially when individual branch needs to meet daily/weekly/yearly deadlines.
- Must possess a professional and friendly attitude and be able to quickly develop a rapport with customers in facetoface interactions.
- Bachelor's Degree preferred but not required.
Salary:
$65, $75,000.00 per year
