Summary
As a Heavy Duty Truck Parts Advisor, you will be responsible for selling replacement parts and equipment.

You will locate the necessary parts and equipment and dispense them to Service Technicians, other businesses and to the public.


What we're looking for:


  • Previous Rental experience in the medium/ Heavy Duty truck automotive industry/ fieldheavy equipment, Agriculture Automotive.
  • Must be self starter and motivated to sell.
  • Must have superior problem solving skills to achieve a winwin solutions.
  • Must be a team player with a strong sense of commitment to the customer.
  • Must conduct his/ her self in a professional manner.

What you'll do:


  • Project a positive attitude for the benefit of our customers and fellow employees.
  • Inspect damaged parts brought in by customers to determine the proper replacement.
  • Identify the necessary part on the basis of the customer's description of the trouble.
  • Examine returned parts for defects and confer with customers about exchanging the part or refunding their money.
  • Suggest a part that is interchangeable, place a special order for the part, or refer the customer elsewhere, if a customer needs a part that is not stocked.
  • Unpack and mark incoming parts and store them in the stockroom according to a prearranged system.
  • Take inventory, including cycle counts.
  • Attend dealerspecified and/or factorysponsored training courses, and complete "elearn" courses as scheduled by management.

Working Conditions

The Heavy Duty Truck Parts Advisor can expect to work indoors, constantly standing, walking and reaching high and low for parts.

They will often work at a rapid pace.

They may also be required to lift heavy items; however, they must request assistance for objects or parts that exceed 50 lbs.

This is a physically demanding position.
