2 MONTH CONTRACT EXPIRING MID-APRIL 2024 WITH POSSIBILITY TO EXTEND
We are seeking a dedicated and organized Medical Office Assistant to join our healthcare team.

As a Medical Office Assistant, you will be responsible for providing administrative support and ensuring smooth operations within our medical office.

Your role will involve a combination of clerical tasks and patient interaction, requiring excellent communication and organizational skills.

Hours:
Part Time Casual 11-5pm Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, 10-3 Saturday


Rate:
$15-17 / hour


Responsibilities:


  • Greet patients and visitors, ensuring a welcoming and professional environment.
  • Schedule appointments, handle phone calls, and manage patient inquiries with professionalism and courtesy.
  • Maintain patient records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality of information.
  • Assist medical professionals with various administrative tasks, including preparing and organizing medical reports, forms, and documents.
  • Coordinate patient referrals to specialists, diagnostic centers, and hospitals as required.
  • Manage inventory of office and medical supplies, restocking as needed.
  • Follow established protocols for maintaining cleanliness and infection control standards within the office.
  • Assist in organizing and maintaining medical records, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure efficient workflow and smooth patient flow.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification or training in medical office administration is preferred.
  • Proven experience as a medical office assistant or in a similar administrative role within a healthcare setting.
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology, procedures, and documentation.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with patients, healthcare providers, and staff.
  • Outstanding organizational and multitasking abilities, with attention to detail.
  • Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to privacy regulations.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and handle a fastpaced work environment.

Job Types:
Part-time, Fixed term contract, Casual

Contract length: 8 weeks


Salary:
$15.05-$17.00 per hour
