- Undergraduate or graduatedegree in Metallurgy or Chemical Engineering from a recognized university
- At least 12 years ofexperience in base metals pyrometallurgical design and development projects
- Strong track record ofsuccessfully completed high-temperature design projects in the mining andmetals industry
- Have sharp analyticalskills, with a particular interest and understanding of high-temperaturemetallurgical processes.
- High-temperature processsimulation and/or design software experience and a strong desire to stay up todate on design tools
- Ability to register as aprofessional engineer in Canada
- Active participation andrepresentation of BBA at conferences and at universities
- Occasional travel todomestic or international destinations is required.

Y our future role on the team
BBA iscurrently seeking a senior or principal engineer in Pyrometallurgical Processengineering to provide high quality consulting services to its growing base ofclients in high-temperature metallurgical operations. As the senior orprincipal pyrometallurgical engineer, you'll help lead studies and businessdevelopment initiatives of new processes, or modernization and decarbonizationof existing processes, globally.
Youmust have at least 12 years of experience in pyrometallurgical design projectsand consulting and be motivated by business development and growth activities.We prefer that you have experience in base metals (or precious metals and PGM)designs and consulting along with an ability to find and implement innovativesolutions to complex metallurgical problems.
Specificareas of expertise include drying, pre-reduction, pre-heating, roasting,smelting, converting and fire refining as well as knowledge and/or experiencein raw material handling, process and fugitive off-gas handling. Knowledge inacid plants and electrorefining would be an asset.
